Congrats to Marisa and Nathan

This story is from Marisa about her waiting experience for Nathan! They are together after it all and we're so happy for them!

He's home!!!!
Marisa and Nathan's story (sorry it's a little late!)
so background; Me and Nathan live in the same stake and we had kind of known each other for a couple years, he dated one of my friends. His reputation preceded him and I had this idea that he was a rebellious bad boy haha. So he was at BYUI for like 2 semesters before his mission, then he came home to put his papers in, and that's when I really met him. I was a senior in high school and he was really cute haha. We saw each other in church one day and recognized each other. Then of course we got in contact by facebook and that next weekend he asked to hang out. So we did, and basically dated since then. I consider it as close to love at first sight as you can get. I played hard to get for a while then we finally had our first kiss on valentine's day, by the river, with the sun shining and the snow lightly falling, it was absolutely perfect :)
So he got his call to the Tucson, AZ mission and reported to the MTC on my birthday. Sucky I know. He told me he loved me like two days before he left sitting in a field looking up at the stars. I got to see him off at the airport with his parents, brother, and another friend. The first couple of months were absolutely dreary. I've never cried so much in my life! When he left we decided that I was not going to 'wait' as in I would date other guys while he was gone. So I went of to college, byui, and went on a date or two, nothing really went anywhere. I got to talk to him on mother's day and Christmas. The second Christmas out, I legitimately told him that I was waiting... bad idea. Two months later I met this boy and we dated. This guy really was amazing and I am thankful that he came into my life. He was a premie, but here's the thing. I prayed about it a lot and Heavenly Father let me know that dating him was the right thing to do. So I did it! And it turned out that it was something that really needed to happen, for all parties involved. And everything turned out the way it is supposed to be!
So he got home July 6th. And me being at school, I sadly was not able to attend his homecoming at the airport. And I was expecting a phone call but I had no idea when it would come! I could not get the butterflies out of my stomach all day! The only thing that kept me sane was just trying to convince myself that it wasn't real and he wasn't actually coming home that day, which actually worked pretty well :) But anyway he did finally call me that night at like ten! I went on a spontaneous adventure in a convertible mustang with some friends and he called me on the drive. So I talked to him for a while then the call got lost a couple times then we decided he would call me back 30 mins later and we talked for almost an hour. It was absolutely amazing, so surreal. I loved every second of it.
So on the 15th He came down to Rexburg for my birthday. Our first hug was... well it lasted a loooong time. Haha it was amazing. He spent the entire weekend with me, on saturday he asked me to be his girlfriend. And on sunday we went to church with me and we went on a walk to the temple and he kissed me!!! it was absolutely perfect. I could not ask for more :)
Now I'm sorry it has been almost a month but we're together and excited for what the future may hold. I will second what every other MG has said “It is totally worth it!!!” waiting is hard, waiting isn't for everyone, it hurts, but it's wonderful :) good luck girls.

We're so excited to see what is the future for these two! Keep us updated as always!
